STEM learning lab

The design for this North Berkeley maker space for kids required a vibrant, engaging environment within a tight, narrow footprint.

Designing a hands-on STEM lab for children ages two through twelve inside a narrow commercial space required every square foot to work hard. We developed distinct zones — seated areas for experiments and building, open floor space for larger projects, and thoughtful storage that keeps materials accessible to curious hands at the right age and safely out of reach for the youngest visitors. Worn wall-to-wall carpet gave way to durable engineered hardwood, grounding the space in something that could keep up with daily use. We also created the studio's logo and full brand identity, built around an intentional palette of green, purple, and orange—energetic, distinct, and designed to grow with the business.
